The Grok AI tool is to be investigated by the media regulators Ofcom amid concerns over the way it is being used on Elon Musk’s X platform.
The watchdog said there were "deeply concerning reports" that it was potentially creating "sexualised images of children" and will investigate whether X has failed to comply with the Online Safety Act. If it is in breach of the law, it could face millions of pounds in fines.
