Space journalist Kate Arkless Gray has told Sky News that Elon Musk’s plans for Mars will be hard to pull off.
Colonising the red planet has long been one of Musk’s driving ambitions and a prime motivation for his building SpaceX.
But Gray is not optimistic about the plan. "As much as I’m sure Elon Musk would like to say it’s easy and that we can just get there in a couple of years time, actually Mars is hard, space is hard, Mars is going to be incredibly expensive," she said.
"There are so many things we still need to work out, radiation protection for the astronauts, the psychological effect of it being so far from our planet."
