Elon Musk’s Starship has successful test launch in Texas

After a series of explosive setbacks, SpaceX has staged a successful test flight of its Starship megarocket.

It blasted off from Texas, sending eight dummy satellites into space – its first ever test payload.

Parts of the engine appeared to explode at one point, but it splashed down an hour later in the Indian Ocean as planned.

Starship is designed to be a reusable transport system capable of carrying people to the Moon and Mars.
