Sky’s Political Correspondent Amanda Akass says policy proposals for a first job bonus and contribution to first home show the Conservatives are looking to appeal to younger voters.

In his speech at Tory party conference, Sir Mel Stride also promised fiscal responsibility, an end to business rates and an overhaul of the welfare system.

There was a noticeable number of empty seats for the speech.
