Energy regulator Ofgem confirmed on Wednesday it was increasing the price cap on energy providers by 2%, paving the way for higher household energy bills this Autumn.
Tim Jarvis, Director General of Markets at Ofgem, said: “While there is still more to do, we are seeing signs of a healthier market."
