Lionesses’ captain Leah Williamson has said England are "aware" and "connected" to what it would mean for the nation if they were to beat Spain in Sunday’s Women’s Euro final.
The match in Basel is a chance for revenge as they face a Spanish side that beat them 1-0 in the World Cup final in Sydney in 2023.
"I think we are connected to what it means to the nation, as connected as we can be being away from home," Williamson said. "The opportunity of tomorrow and what’s on offer is the best thing in football.
"We came to the tournament and wanted to be in it until the end, and have a chance to fight for that trophy.
