England local elections polls close as parties face major test | ITV News

Polls have closed after a series of council and mayoral elections across England, in what is the first big test for the new Labour government since they came to power last summer.

The results are expected to be tough for Labour and the Conservatives, with smaller parties such as the Liberal Democrats, Reform UK and the Green Party making gains.
