Pressure to release all the files related to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is likely to increase after a new Democratic congresswoman – Adelita Grijalva was sworn in late yesterday teeing up a vote in Congress on the matter.

The US Department of Justice has sought to prevent the publication of all the files. But yesterday a number of emails were published by the US House Oversight Committee that included emails from Epstein referring to Donald Trump and one of his victims, who is thought to be Virginia Giuffre.

The US President has consistently denied he any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
