EU: Israel has right to defend itself but some decisions 'contrary to international law'

Speaking at a press conference in Oman, Borrell said: ‘Israel has the right to defend, but it has to be done accordingly with international law, humanitarian law, and some decisions are contrary to international law.’

Borrell added that the humanitarian situation in Gaza, which has been under siege since Tuesday, meant the EU would have to provide ‘more. Not less, more’.
