EU leaders will meet in Brussels today to try to agree on the release of €210bn to help fund Ukraine’s war with Russia.
Many leaders within the bloc will push to use tens of billions of euros of frozen Russian assets to help raise a loan for Ukraine for the next two years.

Speaking ahead of the meeting Volodymyr Zelenskyy has directed a message towards Ukraine’s allies.
Zelenskyy urged Ukraine’s partners to secure support to show Russia that continuing the war is "pointless".
