Representatives of South America’s Mercosur group have met in Brazil after the EU postponed a long awaited trade agreement. Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay had hoped to finally seal the world’s largest free-trade zone with the EU. The pact has been under negotiation for more than 25 years, and it still faces fierce opposition from key member states and European farmers.
