Europe calls emergency summit over Ukraine

Members of Donald Trump’s team are traveling to Saudi Arabia tonight to begin talks with Russia about a possible deal over Ukraine.

But President Zelenskyy has said he will not accept a deal imposed on Ukraine without his country’s involvement in the talks.

European leaders are convening tomorrow for an emergency summit to discuss the crisis sparked by Donald Trump’s talks with Vladimir Putin and America’s stated intention to withdraw from its role underpinning Europe’s security.
