Everton’s owners have put the club up for sale after less than two years in charge to plunge the club into another period of uncertainty.

The Friedkin Group completed a takeover of the club in 2024 in a deal believed to be worth in excess of £400m.
The American group were initially praised for the stability they brought to the club and said in a statement the time is right "to consider the next chapter".
