US President Donald Trump has announced that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed.
Early on Saturday morning, Israel and America launched attacks on targets across Iran, including on the Supreme Leader’s compound.
In a post on social media, Donald Trump called Ali Khamenei’s death ‘justice for the people of Iran and all Great Americans’ and said it represented the ‘single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their country.’
Even without their head of state, Tehran has retaliated with strikes on at least 6 countries, including Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE where a luxury Dubai hotel was hit.
Air raid sirens have also been sounding in Israel this evening, which remains under a state of emergency.
