Ex-Tory leader is new Oxford Uni chancellor

The former Conservative leader Lord William Hague has been elected as Oxford University’s next Chancellor.

Lord Hague will start a ten-year term as the University’s 160th Chancellor. He says his heart and soul are in Oxford – describing the role as the "greatest honour" of his life.
