Starmer made the comments to Paul Brand in 2020 for the Acting Prime Minister podcast, when he said he couldn’t choose between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin – and wanted to “change them both”.
Robert Peston put those comments to the PM in a sitdown interview, while questioning Starmer on the UK’s response to the markets chaos sparked by Donald Trump’s international tariffs.
