Syria’s civil defence group, the White Helmets, released footage of their volunteers rescuing people after shelling in northern Syria intensified. Syrian government forces shelled several villages in Idlib province, in the rebel-held north-west. The attacks were in retaliation after a drone strike that hit a military academy during a graduation ceremony in the central city of Homs. At least 80 people died and dozens were injured.
