Sky News has spoken to the aunt of one Iranian protester who was killed on the streets of northern Iran during demonstrations in January.
She revealed horrific details of how family members were left to track down and then retrieve the bodies of loved ones – but not before being ordered to pay for the bullet that was used to kill them.
Iranian authorities have released the names of nearly 3,000 people who have died in demonstrations against the regime since end of December.
They accuse protesters of being rioters – loved ones of the dead say Iran’s leaders are murderers.
