Yet Argentina’s far right presidential hopeful Javier Milei has become the unlikely presidential front runner – after polling far better than expected in yesterday’s primary elections.

He declared he would end what he called the "parasitic, corrupt and useless political caste" – a populist message aimed at voters frustrated with conventional politics.
