Opening a laptop to do an online interview via Zoom is something we’ve all got used to over the past few years.
This time it was different.
For the young woman in the Philippine capital, Manila, whose face appeared, it had the potential to trigger the worst of memories.
Encounters with strangers online, live and in real time, had been where she had suffered appalling abuse four years ago, at the tender age of 16.
