Fires rage across West Midlands as terrified Britons flee homes

Residents across the West Midlands are being urged to stay indoors amid two major fires in the region.

West Midlands Fire Service said it was facing “extreme levels of demand” due to a fire in the Stourbridge area- where two people have been hurt.

Meanwhile, Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said they’re responding to a “large fire” in Salford Priors, in Stratford-on-Avon. Its urged residents in the area to close all doors and windows.

Police, fire crews and ambulances are at the scene of the wildfire which has been declared a major incident.
