First African swine fever cases in Taiwan

Taiwan has reported its first cases of African swine fever.

Positive samples were found in dead pigs and a further 195 pigs were culled in preventative measures. Authorities said they will isolate the virus strain before officially reporting it to the World Organization of Animal Health.
