The United States has assumed the rotating presidency of the UN council, amid the ongoing war on Iran launched by her husband President Donald Trump and Israel.
The First Lady said the focus of the Session was on education and children in conflict.
UN Under-Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo noted how the recent conflict in the Middle East is affecting children, including the strike on a school in Iran that killed over 100 people.
