The Prime Minister has announced that the first charter flight from Oman has taken off.
In a press conference, Sir Keir Starmer acknowledged that people across the UK are ‘worried sick’ about their family and friends in the Middle East.
He said the government ‘will not stop’ until British citizens are safe and recognised the operation to repatriate people is ‘many times bigger’ than the evacuation from Afghanistan.
