Flu activity increasing sharply across the US

New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show flu cases are spreading nationwide. The flu has left tens of thousands of Americans hospitalized this season with flu-related deaths also climbing. The CDC says at least eight children have died from flu so far this season.

Officials are urging everyone over the age of six months to get a flu shot if they have not previously gotten one this season.
