Channel 4 News has been given exclusive access to a scheme that police in Greater Manchester are piloting, to tackle domestic abusers. It involves DAPOs – or domestic abuse protection orders – which allow police to apply to the courts for restrictions on abusers.

The pilot has already led to some lengthy prison sentences, but there’s concern it won’t get enough funding to meet the demand for such orders.
