A week into her new job as Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, had to get up to speed on Ukraine quickly – ready for her visit there today to see President Zelenskyy.

She told us Britain was upping the economic sanctions on Russia and would be persuading President Trump to do the same, when he’s here on his state visit next week.
