An elderly British couple have been freed after being detained and held without charge by the Taliban for over seven months.
Barbie Reynolds, 76, and her husband Peter, 80, were detained by the Taliban’s interior ministry on 1 February as they travelled to their home in Bamyan province, central Afghanistan.
Sky’s international correspondent John Sparks was with former Afghan prisoner Faye Hall, who was arrested by the Taliban along with the couple, as she watched her close friends touch down in Qatar.
