Former Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown have joined Keir Starmer for the funeral of John Prescott in Hull.
About 300 family and friends of the former deputy Prime Minister were expected to attend the service at Hull Minster on Thursday.
Lord Prescott, who served as Sir Tony’s deputy between 1997 and 2007 and was MP for Kingston upon Hull East for 40 years, died on 20 November last year after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
