France brings back limited military service

France is introducing voluntary military service for 18 and 19-year-olds.

President Emmanuel Macron wants young people to be "ready to stand up" amid concerns over Russian threats towards Europe.

Service would last for 10 months and volunteers would only be deployed in France.
