France’s parliament has toppled another prime minister – Francois Bayrou was already the third French PM in the last year and this time the entire government is on the brink of collapse.

It’s yet another blow to President Macron – Bayrou had tried and failed to bring in austerity measures to contain France’s spiralling debt crisis.
Macron’s domestic agenda is now in jeopardy but he has just said he will appoint yet another Prime Minister ‘in the next few days’.
