France is in search of a new prime minister, yet again. Prime Minister Sebastian Lecornu, just weeks into the job, has offered his resignation to President Emmanuel Macron. Macron accepted, making Lecornu the fifth prime minister France has seen in the past two years.
To say that France is mired in a political mess would be an understatement. Today, there were calls for new elections, and for President Macron to be impeached. Prime Minister Lecornu said he had quit because it was simply impossible to do his job because all political parties, friends and foes alike, were intent on toppling the new government.
