France is going to build more nuclear weapons and it could offer protection to its allies in Europe.

France is the only nuclear power in the European Union.
Macron said an “advanced deterrence”is needed and he’s going to discuss with other countries how to best protect Europe.
He emphasised the decision to use the system will remain with the French president at all times.
France currently has around 300 warheads – Macron hasn’t specified how much this will increase by.
