Gaza airdrop tragedy: 12 drown recovering aid from sea

With intensive fighting continuing around the al-Shifa hospital in central Gaza, the Hamas-run health ministry reported today that almost 32,500 Palestinians have died since the Israeli military offensive began last October.

Despite growing international pressure for a ceasefire, indirect talks remain stalled.

And meanwhile the attempts to air-drop aid have themselves led to further tragedy amongst the people they were intended to help.
