Israel has reopened the Rafah Crossing between Gaza and Egypt for a limited number of people travelling on foot.
50 Palestinians are expected to enter the war-torn Strip on the first day and a similar number will be allowed to leave. The crossing is the sole route in or out for Gazans and has been largely shut for most of the war.
