GCSE top grades rise across UK despite pandemic impact concerns

The proportion of pupils awarded top grades in GCSEs has gone up since last year, according to new figures showing exam results in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Just over a fifth of entries were awarded grades 7 or above, despite the concerns about the impact of the Covid pandemic on education.
