Georgia Hunter Bell reflects on Team GB's performance at World Athletics Championships

Team GB’s Georgia Hunter Bell is celebrating winning silver in the 800m with a new personal best time at the World Championships in Tokyo.

The runner, who "dropped out" of sport for five years, says she only got back into it after taking part in a few parkrun events and has urged other young women "who might be future Olympians" to give it a go.

Athletes from Great Britain and Northern Ireland came home with five medals in total – three silver and two bronze – but Hunter Bell believes they have "got gold before on the world stage and can definitely do it again" after some pundits criticised their performance in Tokyo.
