Video footage has captured a gold thief fleeing a crime scene on the back of a donkey in central Turkey.

The person broke into a jewellery store using a forklift and allegedly stole 150g of gold in Kayseri.
The suspect was taken into custody and later arrested by a court.
Police identified the suspect after reviewing security camera footage after the theft.
The stolen gold was recovered from where the suspect had hidden it and returned to its owner.
