Ghislaine Maxwell, ex-girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein, invoked her Fifth Amendment rights to avoid answering incriminating questions during a hearing on Monday.
Maxwell was questioned by US lawmakers during a video call to a federal prison camp in Texas, where she is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking.
Her testimony comes as part of a larger move from lawmakers to attempt to investigate how Epstein was able to sexually abuse underage girls for years.
