Ghislaine Maxwell has refused to answer questions from politicians at the US House Oversight Committee about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
She said she would not speak unless she is granted clemency by President Trump.
Her lawyer released a statement after her appearance saying he had advised her to plead the fifth amendment.
