The blaze eventually ripped through the roof and will ultimately lead to the hangar’s demolition. The fire broke out in the historic hangar facility around 1am.and prompted a three-alarm fire response from fire crews. The twin blimp hangars are two of the world’s largest freestanding wooden structures and have been standing since the second world war.
