Dominique Pelicot, 72, described as one of France’s worst sex offenders is expected to be sentenced shortly – as the verdicts for all 51 defendants come back in the Gisele Pelicot mass rape trial.
Mr Pelicot has admitted to drugging and raping his then-wife Ms Pelicot, 72, for almost a decade and said he invited strangers to allegedly rape her as well.
Sky’s Siobhan Robbins has been in Avignon, France, where the trial has been taking place to explain how it has all unfolded.
