Online platforms that are used by offenders to facilitate organised drugging and sexual abuse need to be tackled, activist Gisèle Pelicot has told ITV News.
Her ex-husband, Dominique Pelicot, recruited dozens of men online to abuse his wife while she was drugged.
The activist and author said the pervasiveness of the issue is a ‘plague for our societies’.
If you or someone you know has been affected, support is available, including Rape Crisis who can be contacted on 0808 500 2222 in England and Wales and 0808 801 0302 in Scotland, or by going to their websites.
