Glowing orb in night sky believed to be from SpaceX launch

A glowing blue and white spiral lit up the night sky across the UK and parts of Europe – thought to have been caused by the launch of a SpaceX rocket in Florida.

Experts say the phenomenon – which was visible for several minutes – was light reflecting from a frozen exhaust plume from the Falcon9 rocket, spinning in the atmosphere.
