“God won’t listen to war leaders” -- Pope’s blunt message on Iran war | DW News

Pope Leo XIV has issued a stark warning to world leaders as the war with Iran enters its second month, saying that God rejects the prayers of those who wage war.
Speaking during Palm Sunday Mass at the Vatican, the Pope delivered unusually forceful remarks, pushing back against the use of religion to justify violence.
His comments come as leaders on all sides of the conflict, including US officials, invoke faith and religious language in support of military action.
We’re joined by correspondent Seema Gupta in Rome for analysis.
