Grand Canyon wildfire spreading

A wildfire in the Grand Canyon is spreading. No injuries have been reported, but the fire has destroyed over 70 structures.

It began with a lightning strike on July 4th and has intensified over the weekend because of high winds and dry conditions.

The Arizona Governor has called for an investigation into the National Park Service’s handling of the wildfire after it decided not to immediately control the blaze.
