The actor Eric Dane, who starred in the long-running US medical drama Gray’s Anatomy, has died at the age of 53.
He died of a type of motor neurone disease known as ALS.
The actor, who played Dr Mark Sloan, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis last year and spent his final months trying to raise awareness of the disease.
