Greater Manchester Police reveal new system to replace strip searches

The Baird Inquiry was set up to look into the treatment of people in the custody of Greater Manchester Police, following a Sky News investigation by our home affairs editor Jason Farrell.

Following its recommendations, Greater Manchester Police has unveiled its new Custody Suite to show how officers will no longer need to conduct strip searches.
