Nato’s top general in Europe has revealed that the alliance was unaware of a ‘deal’ involving Greenland teased by Donald Trump this week.

The US President announced yesterday that a "framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland" was in place.
But speaking today, Nato’s Alexus Grynkewich said: “We had no discussion about that security framework. We found out about it when everyone else did."
