Greenland’s Democratic party wins surprise victory amid Trump’s plan for takeover

Greenland’s Democratic party has won a surprise general election in a vote that was dominated by US President Donald Trump’s pledge to takeover the island.

The party is in favour of a gradual approach to independence from Denmark.
